We have been working so much in the back of our property that we have not given the other areas proper attention. Weeds have had their way with much of my herb gardens. So this week I focused on those areas.
We have been laying a path of thyme — a mixture of red creeping thyme and wooly thyme — for several years now. Every day Lee and I would walk by the clover that was poking its little leaves up through the thyme and take note of it and thinking “we would get to soon”. Big mistake!
We finally attempted to pull the clover out. Unfortunately it won — well, in parts. We had to pull it all out, including a lot of thyme along with it. Lesson learned!
Not only are the weeds quite happy to be here, we have a few little friends living contently in the gardens too. We are quite happy about that!
A sneak peak at what is coming up . . .
and do you see those! FIgs!!! Oh my goodness, I am so excited!
There is so much going on in the garden these days!

So beautiful…looks like a lot of hard work has gone into creating all that beauty! I’ve never been here before, my name is Brooke ( barefoot mama) I live in Texas with my hubby and 3 babies…it’s nice to “meet” you! ~B
Hi Brook! YEs, it has been a lot of work, but it’s all good and definitely a work in progress. We’ve lived here for six years and every year we get to see things flourish just a little bit more:)) Thanks so much for stopping by.
